My private practice was opened with the goal of providing patients with an extra level of care and compassion. I am aware that every patient is different, and I work to get to know all of my patients. I help my patients find the best treatment approach for each specific condition and situation. My ultimate goal is to help get you better, help get you through whatever turmoil you’re facing, and help you lead a life of fulfillment and happiness. People suffering with mental illnesses and emotional distress need a doctor who is capable and can offer a quick response. I have business hours every business day by appointment.
I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I enjoy practice as a board-certified general adult psychiatrist working in private practice in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. My depth and breadth of clinical experience is unique, having served as chief resident at Sheppard-Enoch Pratt Hospital and later a clinical faculty member at NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn. My areas of clinical expertise include women’s mental health, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and crisis management.
I graduated from Howard University, magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned my medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. I completed residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Hospital Residency Program where I received the distinction of the Dr. John Talbott Award for Clinical Excellence.
